Why we love VR and AR
You’ll never forget the first time you put on a VR headset. It fully immerses you in another world. With virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) training, you have the opportunity to transport your teams to incredible places and deliver a learning experience they’ll never forget.
Our approach to VR training
We can help you bring even your wildest virtual training dreams to life. We help with each stage of designing, scripting, building and managing your virtual learning experiences:
- Developing virtual scenarios and environments that are ideal for delivering learning.
- Taking 360 photos and videos and creating interactive virtual tours of your working environments.
- Creating exact 3D replicas of your products, plants and machinery.
- Demonstrating safety and technical processes, down to which direction to turn a spanner.
VR and AR FAQs
Headsets and controllers are getting cheaper. For instance, the Oculus Quest 2 costs £299/$299 and provides a standalone headset that can be used for the vast majority of scenarios. As a result, it’s getting cheaper to deliver amazing virtual training.
Do you want to transport your colleagues to an existing location? If so, your best bet is to use 360 images or videos. In other words, it is much cheaper. Conversely, you can create 3D models of any environment imaginable which can then be brought to life in VR. However, it’s more work to develop.
At its simplest, learners can use their controllers to interact with content. However, using a development platform such as Unity allows you to take interactivity to the next level. As a result, almost anything can be created and interacted with. For instance, you could pick up a spanner and use it to fix a specific piece of machinery.
